Virginia R. Brass, age 83, of Argonne, passed away at St. Mary's Hospital, Rhinelander, on January 13, 2006, after a 5-month struggle with injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Virginia was born on July 8, 1922 in the Town of Maine, Wisconsin to the late Herman and Marian (Boon) Schroeder.

After her graduation from the Shiocton High School in 1940, she married Alvin Brass in Clintonville.  Alvin preceded her in death on September 7, 1986.

Virginia had many careers in life and they included being the Argonne Town Clerk for 17 years, Wisconsin Real Estate Broker for 10 years, had her Wisconsin Auctioneer's License for 6 years, and was an Auction Clerk for 30
years.

When Virginia was not working, she enjoyed playing cards, fishing, hunting, and reading.  She especially loved animals.  Virginia will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her Children:  Ellen (Wesley) Siedel, Florence, WI Janice (Frank) Kowalkowski, Armstrong Creek, WI.  Rene Brass (Trent DuFour), Argonne, WI, Kevin (Debbie) Brass, Argonne, WI

She is further survived by 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Alvin, 3 sisters, and an infant son.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 17 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday, January 18 from 9:00 until 10:30 a.m. at the Weber-Hill Funeral Home.  Funeral Service will follow at 10:30 a.m. at the Funeral Home
with Pastor Bill Farr & Jack Fabian officiating.  Interment will be in the Argonne Town Cemetery at a later date.
